The theme for this mini-bang was TV Tropes; each icon represents one trope, as follows (and no, I'm not including links, for your sake):
1. Ax Crazy
2. Badass Adorkable
3. Badass Longcoat
4. Big Brother is Watching
5. Butt Monkey
6. Commissioner Gordon
7. Cool Old Lady
8. Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette
9. Guile Hero
10. Heterosexual Life Partners
11. Jumped at the Call
12. Laser Sight
13. Man of Wealth and Taste
14. Manipulative Bastard
15. Nice Hat
16. No Smoking
17. One Head Taller
18. Pintsized Powerhouse
19. Reckless Gun Usage
20. Reinventing the Telephone
21. Scarf of Ass-Kicking
22. Sexy Secretary
23. Sharp Dressed Man
24. Technicolor Science
25. The Man Behind the Man (for this one, not only does Moriarty count for this trope, but I firmly believe that Molly is the mastermind behind Moriarty, and that Jim is actually just another layer/puppet. MOLLY FOR MORIARTY!)

Oh, these are perfect! Every image you picked fits the trope so well, and all the icons have such lovely coloring. Also, I really, really want the Molly thing to be true too - I think she'd made such a good secret badass.

I recently saw a prompt fill where Molly=Moran! I thought that was seriously awesome idea, which could still happen in TV-canon!

Oh, delightful! I think my favourites are #3 (because the coat is the true protagonist of the series) and #18, because it's such a good shot. Lovely colouring. Also, your trope usage is superb. Butt Monkey, indeed. *hates Anderson*

Plus plus also and, I too really want Molly to be secretly kickass. And if the writers can't give us that (as I doubt they can, while the first series was lovely, I still don't trust writers) then I will happily stick with that very famous fanfic where Molly is Moriarty, which you too have read, yes? Because as much as I love Sherlock, he needs to be kicked in the nads, y/y?

Yeah, guns. It's all complicated, like. Because on one hand, you don't want to seem like you're promoting gun violence, because FUCK NO. On the other hand, the characters use them. It's a part of them.

I don't think you're fetishizing the gun in that icon. And the show kept them in character, though I cringed a little at the ultimate message, because shooting someone, no matter that he's a serial killer about to kill your friend, should have after effects. Big ones. And yes, John's a vet, but I know a TON of vets who still have trouble with what they did. Even the adrenaline junkies. Even the ones with a slight death wish. No matter what your interpretation of John. I like to believe that the part where he freaks out was just cut for time. And ok, I understand gun porn in fiction, but anyone who has ever fired a gun knows it's not cool, ja? Guns are just tools, in the end, but they're tools designed to harm and kill, and that's not something you take lightly. SHOW, JOHN IS NOT A SOCIOPATH!

And yes, that's the fic. If you ever want the link, I'll track it down. It's on my delicious, though, so no fears.

Yeah, see, one of the things I'm going to explore in my "the dark side of Kelly/Annabelle/Polly" fic is the aftermath of everything they've done. That harming other people LEAVES A FUCKING MARK. You can be as jaded and disconnected as you want, there's still going to be something left behind. And, like, that's also part of the point of the sequel to HCSD. That's where Peaches dad dies. That's where Polly picks up a gun for the first time. (OMG, the sequel is going to be ridonkulous.) John should be AFFECTED by what he did in SIP. And I get, yeah, it was in self (uh,sorta) defense, that he was a soldier, that he's done this before, etc., but this was different. This was a fucking civilian, serial killer though he may be. He never signed up to be shot at. He never signed up to be killed. THERE IS A FUCKING DIFFERENCE.

And ok, yeah, within the framework of a TV show? I get it. But I hate that our TV shows never SHOW the aftermath. That everything is hunky-dory after a quick scene change. Like, ok, maybe John was breaking down a little between the time that the cabbie died and Sherlock was with the orange blankie, along with disposing of evidence and hauling arse out of there. But, like, couldn't there have been more of an acknowledgement? And ok, Sherlock inquired (good on Sherlock, proof that he ain't no sociopath), but really? That's it? No resumption of limp, just for a moment, to show that he's affected? It doesn't have to be a fucking discussion of his feelings. The show has already established that he has a psychosomatic limp. LET'S USE THAT, PEOPLE.

Apparently, I have Feelings about this.

And I'm super impressed that all your icons only have three gun uses, given your/our fandoms.

And yes, right, Sherlock? WTF? That gun is loaded. And I know perfectly well that the hair-trigger is a bit of a myth, but practice some basic gun safety, yeah? Don't point at anything that you aren't willing to destroy. Rule number, like, two or something. I don't remember my rules anymore.

And Eliot, yes, good on him for always checking guns properly. Drives me nuts when people do it wrong on TV or in movies. THERE IS A PROTOCOL, LEARN IT, I KNOW IT, WHY CAN'T DIRECTORS GET IT RIGHT. Eliot is impressive in his violence yet commitment to no guns.

No, haven't seen the third season- never even made it through the second season, no cable, you know how it is, and yes, I use your account, but I think I explained elsewhere.

You might have done, yeah, found that fic from my delicious. Lol.

These are fabulous!

I followed your link from the challenge at Holmesverse because it seems like not many people have done this challenge...and I am impressed! These are all very very cool (and I'm super tempted to offload one or two of mine to use of these) and I LOVE the tropes that you picked :D They are all perfectly matched and I laughed at each and every one of them (which I think is the point of deliberately using tropes, to be honest).

Also? I totally agree with you on #25 (And I want to take home #10 and snuggle it forever <3)
