I agree with your Feelings about this.
Yeah. I do try to actively avoid gun caps. (Of course, I think I've got one in there of Hotch beating Foyet to death, but. That was for the "breaking point" prompt, and thus was situationally appropriate. Again, though, things I try to avoid.)
I honestly don't know anything about guns, at all, though I did read some big long thing on LJ that was somebody's guide to writing people using guns (which, I think I found that on your delicious too)
Yeah, you did explain elsewhere. Let's just say that in that particular episode, circumstances got SO BAD that Eliot actually had to use guns. I really did almost start crying when I saw that, which is possibly a bit of an overreaction, but at the same time, Eliot has clearly been making a choice to NOT KILL PEOPLE despite having knowledge of how to do it in so many different ways. (And also, with this, SHOW SOME AFTEREFFECTS DAMMIT. I want to see more about Eliot dealing with that.)
It's entirely possible. Most of the Sherlock fics I've read are ones I found from your delicious. XD Because for a while I was back-reading the fic comms, but I got distracted.
